A day's travel to Tulum
Meet at the Cozumel ferry pier, 30 minutes before the ferry departs to Playa del Carmen. After the pleasurable and comfortable 40-minute ferry ride to Playa del Carmen, an air-conditioned van will be there for 45 minutes ride to the famous ruins of Tulum.
During the trip, get acquainted with key important facts about the present and past life in Quintana Roo (demographics, ethnic groups, gastronomy and history) that will set the mood for immersion in the Mayan world.
Once in Tulum, have a 10-minute walk to the entrance of the site. For approximately 1.5 hours, become acquainted with facts and tales of ancient and modern Mayan life.
Discuss the culture as it was during the times of Tulum. Examine the inscriptions and murals on the temples- the decoration, rich iconography and what it means to the Mayans.
Take a shuttle ride to the Tulum beach, where you will board a small boat and see the ruins from the sea.
