Central Tehran Highlights Tour
- Meet your guide at your hotel or wherever suits you, and then transfer to the center of Tehran.
- Visit the lavish Golestan Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are nine museums inside, and we usually offer visits to two of them. The lavish Golestan Palace is a masterpiece of the Qajar era, embodying the successful integration of earlier Persian crafts and architecture with Western influences.
- Walk around Tehran Bazaar, just a few steps from Golestan Palace. It is the old historical bazaar in Tehran, split into corridors stretching over 10 kilometres, each specializing in different types of goods, with several entrances to visit Timche Akbarian and Imam Mosque.
- You can have lunch at 80-year-old restaurants in the bazaar, such as Moslem or Sharaf Eslami, or ask your guide to take you somewhere according to your interests.
- After lunch and a little rest, visit the National Museum of Iran. Here, you will find a collection of Iran's history from different eras. There are two museums inside: the Museum of Ancient Iran and the Museum of Islamic Era. It hosts historical monuments and preserved ancient and medieval Iranian antiquities, including pottery vessels, metal objects, textile remains, and rare books and coins.
- Then drive to experience the Tehran subway and head to one of Tehran's most famous landmarks, the Azadi Tower, where you can see it from the outside and take photos. Azadi Tower is the symbol of Tehran.
- Your guide will transfer you to your hotel or drop you off wherever suits you.
