Itinerary
-
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire
- Arrival at Kilimanjaro, reception at the airport and departure to Tarangire, a relatively small park compared to others in the area, but which still occupies an area of more than three thousand square kilometres. Already on the way, we will have our first contact with this fascinating landscape, dotted with Maasai huts, which we can see in their daily activities.
- Upon arrival at Tarangire, we will look for, to start with, a herd of its large and famous colony of elephants. At the same time, we observe its characteristic baobabs, harmoniously decorating this spectacular reserve. After lunch at the lodge, we will continue our safari in search of lions, leopards, giraffes, impalas, buffaloes and the rest of the species that inhabit this natural paradise, enjoying the excellent colours that form in this beautiful place at sunset. Burunge Tented Lodge. Meal plan: lunch and dinner- FB.
-
Day 2: Lake Manyara Tour
- We will leave for Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day safari in the morning. The park has 330 km2, of which the lake occupies 220. It is nestled in the Great Rift Valley and collects water from the heights and some underground, giving it greenery almost all year round. The most sought-after animals are the famous climbing lions, but there are also herds of elephants, zebras, buffaloes, baboons, antelopes, etc. The lake's waters contain numerous volcanic minerals that give it characteristic colours depending on the time of year. It is a privileged place to observe the diverse and abundant birdlife (cormorants, storks, pelicans), which also variable according to the seasons. The flamingos, perhaps the most striking, show off their plumage while fishing majestically. Their number is such that they create a pink optical effect visible at a great distance. Stop for lunch (picnic) and continue with the safari.
- Late in the afternoon, we leave the park on our way to Karatú, where we will spend the night. Eileen’s Tree Inn. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner- FB.
-
Day 3: Karatu - Ngorongoro
- Today, after breakfast, we will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a World Heritage Site, where we will start a walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger since it is mandatory. We will step on volcanic land with exuberant vegetation. An ideal habitat for the diversity of wildlife (buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, elands) that coexist with the herds of the Maasai. Then we will continue the road to another symbolic point of the region: the mythical Serengeti Park, where we will enjoy a safari on our arrival in the afternoon in this beautiful endless plain. Africa Safari Ikoma-Comfort. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner- FB.
-
Day 4: Serengeti Tour
- With the first rays of the sun, the safari departs to see the animals waking up. And if you're lucky, run into our feline friends hunting. We continue exploring this exceptional enclave to see the 'big five': buffalo, elephant, lion, rhino and leopard. We also visit the many pools where hippos and crocodiles live. Perhaps the best known is Retina Hipo Pool, a deep natural pool formed by the convergence of the Seronera and Otangi rivers. Picnic lunch in the savannah's middle, and the safari continuation until late afternoon. Africa Safari Ikoma-Comfort. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner- FB.
-
Day 5: Crater Tour
- Have breakfast and depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The central part is the crater of an extinct volcano, with a diameter of 20 km and a depth of 610 m—a symbolic place. The physical and climatic variables have shaped a natural paradise where many animals coexist throughout the year and highly varied flora sprouts with unique species. The fauna includes elephants, buffaloes, lions, wildebeests, gazelles, zebras, redundant, etc. Perhaps the most striking animal is the black rhino, a rare and endangered species, which is the target of many travellers—vehicle safari. Picnic-style lunch inside the crater, and then we continue to the Munge River area, where we can find the lions with the darkest mane. We leave the crater in the afternoon and go to the accommodation. Eileen’s Tree Inn. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner- FB.
