Embark on a 4-day hiking expedition in Mount Kenya via Sirimon Route. Start your tour by a thrilling trek from Sirimon Gate to Old Moses Camp. Ascend towards Ontulili River and contour through the Moorland crossing Likii North and continue uphill to Mackinder’s Valley and spot panoramic views. Witness a breathtaking sunset at Shipton Camp and conclude your trip with a walkdown through an enchanting rainforest taking you to Sirimon Gate.
Itinerary

Day 1- Nairobi – Sirimon Gate – Old Moses camp
- Leave Nairobi at 8 am for Nanyuki town. Proceed to Sirimon Gate where you will have lunch and begin our trek.
- From the gate follow the track as it winds uphill though the forest which later becomes heath land upto Old Moses camp 3300m asl.

Duration: 2.5Hrs -
Day 2- Old Moses Camp – Shiptons Camp
- After breakfast, follow the track uphill, forking left at the junction. After one hour from Old Moses Camp, the track crosses Ontulili River.
- Go right contouring through the Moorland and crossing Likii North and continue uphill to Mackinder’s Valley from where there are panoramic views up the valley towards the main peaks. Dinner and overnight at Shipton Camp 4200m.

Day 3- Shiptons camp – Point Lenana – Old Moses camp
- Leave at 2am up a steep stony quarry that cuts through a cliff clearing visible part towards lower Hall Tarns arriving point Lenana(4985 M asl) at 6:30am, taking about 3hrs.
- After the sunrise, descend down to Shipton Camp for breakfast and later proceed down to Old Moses Camp for dinner and overnight.
- Sirimon is regarded by many as he best ascent route of Kenya’s highest mountain and well within the capabilities of fit hill walkers. Enjoy spectacular, ever-changing scenery as you climb to the dramatic summit of this ancient volcano.

Day 4- Old Moses camp – Sirimon Gate – Nairobi
- After breakfast, walk down through the rain-forest for 2 hours to Sirimon gate where we will board a private vehicle for transfer to Nairobi town. The vehicle can pick you up at the camp upon request.
