Description
We take you to the Chagres River Marine, located in the town of Gamboa; here, you will board a boat and head off on an adventure that will include an expedition across Gatun Lake in the Panama Canal, passing by gigantic cargo ships transiting the waterway, making a contrast with the natural surroundings. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to spot Green iguanas resting on tree branches, crocodiles, and Osprey in the hunt for Peacock bass, Snail kite, and Keel-billed toucan, among other wildlife. After the boat tour, we will head to the Sloths sanctuary and ecologies exhibit. You will admire the sloths very closely and learn about their daily life. Also, visit the Ecologic Exhibits such as Butterfly Farm, Orchid Nursery, and Frog pond. After this nature tour, we will head to Miraflores Locks Visitors Center, one of the sets of locks in the Panama Canal. This is one of the closest to Panama City. You will observe the magnitude of this engineering marvel, which operated a century later using the same hydraulic system since its inception. Don't forget to have a great IMAX experience, the Panama Canal movie, narrated by Morgan Freeman.
