Philae Temple, Unfinished Obelisk, and High Dam
- A licensed tour guide will take you from your hotel or cruise in the Nile or even from the airport in Aswan to enjoy a one-day tour of the fantastic city of Aswan.
- Start your tour by visiting the High Dam, an engineering miracle built in 1960 to protect Egypt from the annual flood of the Nile.
- Then go on to visit the incomplete obelisk, showing the techniques used by the ancient Egyptians to cut the obelisks. This obelisk probably belongs to Queen Hatshepsut, one of the rulers of the 18th dynasty and the royal wife of King Tuthmosis II. This queen has her temple on the east bank of Luxor, and there is a view that is said to belong to Queen Nefertiti.
- Visit the temple of the majestic Philae, built in honour of the goddess Isis, the head of the island god.
- Later, you will be taken to your hotel.
