1. Walking Tour of Stari Grad

   • Begin in Hvar town: Start the walking tour in Hvar town, exploring the charming narrow streets, stone houses, and beautiful squares. Visit some of the main sights, such as the Cathedral of St. Stephen, the Franciscan Monastery, and the Arsenal building.
   • Hike up to the fortress: Walk up the hill to the fortress, which offers breathtaking views of the old town of Hvar and the surrounding Paklinski islands. Take your time to soak in the panoramic vistas and snap some photos.
   • Visit the platform: After exploring the fortress, head to the nearby platform, which offers an even better view of the old town and the islands. Enjoy the scenery and take a break before continuing on to the next leg of the tour.
   • Stop by lavender fields: Head due to Stari Grad, walking through scenic lavender fields and taking in the picturesque landscape. Enjoy the fragrant scent of the flowers and the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
   • Explore Stari Grad: Upon reaching Stari Grad, take a walking tour of the town, which is known for its rich history and cultural heritage. Visit some of the main sights, such as the Tvrdalj Castle, the Dominican Monastery, and the Church of St. John. Stop by the chapel of St Roch, which provides a view of Hora field (one of the three UNESCO sites of Hvar island), situated in front of Stari Grad and then take a halt at an old stone furnace testifying of the old ways of life on the island.
   • Enjoy some local cuisine: After the walking tour, stop by a local restaurant or cafe to enjoy some traditional Croatian cuisine or a refreshing drink.
   • Finally, conclude the tour at Tvrdalj, a fortified home in Stari Grad, Croatia, built in the 16th century by the Renaissance poet Petar Hektorović. It features defensive walls, a courtyard with loggia, and fishponds fed by a natural spring. The Tvrdalj is a significant cultural landmark and a popular tourist attraction on the island of Hvar.
