Biblical Caesarea Tour
- Visit Caesarea, the ancient city established from scratch by King Herod the Great some 2000 years ago; it became one of the most luxurious cities of the Roman world, even serving as the capital of Israel.
- The tour will begin at Caesarea Amphitheatre as this part encompasses the old Roman town.
- Then, we go to the Harbour area which is also Roman but surrounded by walls from Crusader times (1000 years later).
- This tour will take you across exquisite archaeological sites. We will see a Roman amphitheatre, Herod's Palace, the Governor's Palace, a horse racing hippodrome, a bathhouse, an ancient Roman city, the harbour, a reconstruction of the platform where the main Temple to Caesar stood and the old Crusader walls.
- Go to the Pontius Pilate Palace, the possible location of St. Paul's prison, the remains of the old port, and incredible marine vistas.
