Description

Tour of Felmer Museum and Frutillar
- We will start the day with a visit to the Saltos de Petrohue, about 50 km from Puerto Varas, which is part of the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park. This sector offers an opportunity to experience the elements between dense forests and rivers with pure waterfalls. We will hike in the middle of the forest to enjoy the magnificent waterfalls of Petrohue at the foot of the Osorno Volcano.
- Next, we continue to Lake Todos los Santos, also known as Lake Esmeralda, for the colour of its waters. This lake is surrounded by low forests of medium altitude and, the Osorno, Puntiagudo volcanoes, and Mount Tronador. We will observe the vegetation that will change as we climb the road to the Osorno volcano, passing from dense and high forests to a lower nature.
- After that, we will head south to the village of Cochamó and do a moderate difficulty hike of about 1-hour go and return to arrive at the panoramic point of view Entre Volcanes which gives us a breathtaking view of the estuary and the Osorno and Yates volcanoes.
- In the afternoon, we will visit the German Colonial Museum in Frutillar, housed in an old and imposing barn of German colonial architecture that exhibits many objects from the different aspects of the daily life of these settlers.
- Then, we will take our vehicle to go in the direction of Frutillar, a small town 30 km away, and pass through the town of Llanquihue, another town founded by German settlers. From there, we will begin to border the second-largest lake in Chile and have the most beautiful views of the Osorno, Puntiagudo, and Cerro Tronador volcanoes.
- In Frutillar, we will visit the Theater du Lac, a first-class performance hall associated with high-level international schools, which presents an agenda full of recognized artists. It is also an educational project associated with local schools that attract children and young people, having the artistic vocation of the whole region and the country.
- After visiting Frutillar and the Teatro del Lago, we return to Puerto Varas. Note that the visit to the theatre takes place outside, and for the interior visit, it will be necessary to book in advance and pay for the entrance.
