Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival

   • On your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, get to the Pearl of Africa, where you will meet our company representative for a magical welcome to the Pearl of Africa. Brief you about the country and adventure, then transfer you to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

2. Day 2: Ssese islands

   • Start the day with a delicious breakfast and have a visit to the botanical gardens that were established in 1898, situated on the northern shores of Lake Victoria, virtually on the equator sitting on 40.7 hectares. The gardens house a collection of species of plants from the tropical, sub-tropical and temperate zones, besides several shrubs and other plants regenerated naturally over the years. The collection has 309 species, 199 indigenous to Uganda, 122 with known medicinal value and 110 exotica.
   • Return to the hotel, check out and drive to the Entebbe landing site (dock) for ship boarding tickets. After, have lunch in the area. Then embark on the ship, which leaves at exactly 2:00 pm. As you transfer to Ssese, you will enjoy the ship cruise on Lake Victoria, the largest tropical lake in the world, the largest in Africa and the second largest freshwater lake in the world, as you take photos of the lake, birds and fishermen. You will have great photo shoot opportunities in Lake Victoria.
   • Upon arrival at Lutoboka, you will disembark the ship and transfer to your hotel to check in, relax, freshen up, have dinner, enjoy the campfire and overnight.

3. Day 3: Nature walk, Island tour & Beach Games

   • After having breakfast which can be arranged for you at the beach while you’re watching the sunrise, you will have a nature walk and an island tour. The guide will take you to visit the entire island while sharing interesting information about the history and cultural significance of each spot. He will also help you site birds, primates, butterflies and other wild species as you walk through the forest. 
   • After the walk, you will return for lunch and relax as you play beach games like volleyball, beach soccer, sunbathing, and swimming, among others. You will then have dinner, which can also be prepared at the beach as you enjoy the campfire. After dinner, you will enjoy the nightlife on the island.

4. Day 4: Boat cruise to Virgin Island

   • Have breakfast, and relax at the beach. In the afternoon, undertake an interesting boat cruise on Lake Victoria to the Virgin Islands, and have fun while cruising on the lake. Return to the lodge for relaxation, refresh, and dinner, enjoy the campfire, and overnight.

5. Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala

   • Wake up at 6:30 am for breakfast, prepare and check out, transfer to the dock and embark on the ship back to Entebbe. The ship departs the island at exactly 8:00 am. Enjoy the morning cooling weather while on a ship cruise to Entebbe. You will arrive in Entebbe at 11:30 pm.
