- Continuing as far as the eye can see is the vast Serengeti. Serengeti means "endless plain", and more than 2 million wildebeest inhabit this 6900 sq. mile (18000 sq. km) park. January to April is the season when wildebeest give birth to their calves, as also hundreds of thousands of plains zebras and Thomson's gazelles. Large predators, including lions, cheetahs and hyenas, are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey which migrates throughout the park. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons and African hares also inhabit the area along with nearly 500 species of birds, then late evening drive to Serengeti Semetu Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 4 - SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO ARUSHA
- After breakfast, you will start the safari and head to the central part of the Serengeti [seronera]. The entire two full days are dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. The areas you visit will depend upon where the migrating herds are; our professional guide will try to find the animals you’re the most interested in.
- You will have a perfect moment for doing Serengeti Balloon; by balloon, you fly over Serengeti and get to view Serengeti from the air and see all animals from their hidden place that vehicles cannot reach.
- Thousands of animals such as elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, ostrich, giraffes, hyenas, jackals, and cheetah-just keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the nature around you.
- Predators follow closely behind the trekking animals, including lions, leopards (in the acacia trees) and cheetahs. During the short rainy season in November and December, the herds move from the northern hills to the southern plains.
- They return up north During the extended rainy season from April to June. As the migration depends entirely on the yearly rainfalls, the location of the herds may vary from year to year, but your guide will know where to locate the animals and where to see them best. Closer to lunchtime, you will visit the Serengeti visitor center, where you will be offered a lunch box and provided with lots of exciting information, especially about the park's history.
- After Serengeti, you fly out from Serengeti to Arusha.
