Itinerary
-
Explore the City of Haifa
- Meet the tour representative at the port and start your day tour in Haifa. Haifa is a very interesting city in northern Israel. It started in the middle bronze period, 1800 B. C. It is third by population size, but it is the capital of the Bahai religion, with famous beautiful Bahai gardens. It was the first place of landing of the German Templers in the 19 c. It is the capital of the Ahmadian alternative Islam community of Kababir and more. Located on the western slope of the Carmel mount, it spreads over the entire mount with perfect points of view, hanging bridges, an archaeological museum, a university and more. Not much remained in Haifa from ancient times, but the modern city and its ethnical mix are interesting and magnificent.
- Start by visiting the German colonies, and Lower Bahai Gardens, and end the tour by exploring Downtown Haifa. After that, we can return to the port area.
(Note: If it will be a walking tour, it includes sightseeing in the German Colony, Lower Bahay gardens (closed Monday and Tuesday), Arab sweets, which you can buy, and lower Haifa.
If the tour is chosen to do by car (4 places) we will visit the middle and upper levels of the gardens, and then according to your choice go to hanging bridges or archaeological museum at Haifa University or the Mosque and cultural center of the Ahmadian Islam in their quarter Kababir. Also, we will go to the City open market Talpiot.)
