Itinerary

1. Hike to the Dominica Boiling Lake

   • Meet the tour representative, who will pick you up around 7:00 and 7:15 a.m. (maybe earlier or later based on accommodation or arrangement for pickup), and the representative will brief you about the day's activity. Board the bus and depart for the Dominica Boiling Lake.
   • Reach the Ti Tou Gorge/Boiling Lake Parking Lot by 7:35 to 7:45 a.m. (Activity: Trail/hike briefing/ hike starting/restroom stop)
   • Start with Leg 1 of the hike, and indulge in rainforest and cloud forest hiking, flora and flora interpretations, photo and water stops, and the National Park entry. (7:45 to 8:45 a.m.)
   • Have breakfast at the river and stop to refill the water bottles (8:45 to 9:00 a.m.). Continue to Morne Nichols ridge climb, which will be a cloud forest hiking and scenic view photo stop. You may stop for rest and water refills (9:00 to 9:45 a.m.).
   • Observe the scenic view at Morne Nichols Summit from 9:45 to 10:00 a.m. (You may take a rest or water break.)
   • Hike down into the Valley of Desolation (10:00 to 10:45 a.m.). (Activity: hiking, scenic view photo stop and observing the hot springs/rest stop/boiling eggs, mud mask painting and/geological talk)
   • Arrive at the Last Leg before boiling lake, and indulge in hiking, scenic view photo stop and observe/rest and water breaks/optional water bottle filling. (10:45 to 11:20 a.m.)
   • Enjoy lunch and a snack at the boiling lake (11:45 to 12:15 a.m.), and go bathing in the Valley of Desolation warm mineral pool (optional bathing; 12:45 to 1:00 p.m.)
   • Continue hiking back to the trail start and receive a historical and informative talk from the guide (1:00 to 3:30 p.m.).
   • End the hike at the Ti Tou Gorge/Boiling Lake Parking from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. (You may go for an optional cavern swimming). Depart for your location.
   • Drop off at your location by 4:25 p.m. (maybe earlier or later based on accommodation or arranged drop-off location).
