Explore the Highlights of Tanjung Piai and Kukup
- Meet the tour guide at Johor Bahru city's hotel (or any other agreed-upon location) at 8.00 am.
- Proceed to the fishing village, Kukup. This quaint village is built on stilts above the muddy mangrove shoreline and has existed for more than 100 years. The settlement is above 1400 people, nearly all Chinese, and mostly engaged in fishing and catering for tourists. You may walk around the village on wooden or concrete boardwalks built on stilts above the mud and water. The village has an International Ferry Terminal linking to Tanjung Balai in the Riau Province of Indonesia.
- Enjoy the boat trip to the floating fish farm or "Kelong." Have fresh seafood, and relax in the seaside atmosphere.
- After lunch, proceed to Tanjung Piai and visit the southernmost tip of mainland Asia. Experience a 1.4km out-and-back trail that passes through the river, lush rainforest, and mangroves and, at the end of the route, takes you to the southernmost tip of mainland Asia.
- Return to the starting point of the tour by 4:00 pm.
