Itinerary

1. Day 1- Arrive in Cairo

   • Meet your tour guide after arriving from the Cairo International Airport, where a representative will assist you with arrival procedures and take you to the hotel. At the hotel, the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour.

2. Day 2- Explore the City of Cairo

   • Have breakfast and head to Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world- The Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops) and 3 small pyramids. You will continue to explore the rest of the Giza plateau, including the sight of Khafre’s (kaphren) pyramid - Khufu's son (the second-largest pyramid on the Giza site), the remains of the funeral temple, the pyramid of Mankawra (Mykerinus) and 3 small pyramids.
   • Proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates from the time of Chephren.
   • Visit the Valley Temple, which belongs to the pyramids of Chephren. This temple served two functions: First, it was used for the purification of the mummy of the king before its burial. Second, it was used for making the Mummification process of the king. After visiting the pyramids, you'll continue across the plateau for a photo of the three pyramids rising from the sands, with the Cairo skyline in the background. Have your lunch at a local restaurant.
   • Explore the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, commonly known as the Egyptian Museum. It is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities dating back about 5,000 years of art. It is considered the world's most extensive and most valuable collection of Egyptian art. More than 250,000 original artifacts are presented, with a representative amount on display, the rest are in stores, and the Egyptian Museum is filled with thousands of pharaonic artifacts, including the golden treasures of King Tutankhamun. Fascinating objects such as jewels, headdresses, alabaster vases, and toys from ancient Egypt are all on display. Many priceless statues and other artifacts that were kept in his tomb for more than 3,500 years before their discovery in 1922, when the tomb was excavated, can also be seen in the Egyptian Museum. It is one of the first stops on most people's itineraries when travelling to Egypt. This distinctive museum houses a vast store of priceless objects from earlier times to the Greco-Roman period and is worth seeing. 
   • Back to the hotel.

3. Day 3- Visit the Highlights of Alexandria

   • Have breakfast and then drive to Alexandria. We will drive almost 210 kilometres to Alexandria, the second largest city in Egypt and known as “The Pearl of the Mediterranean." 
   • Visit the Montazah Palace and Gardens (Salamlek palace, Haramlek palace, a garden of 317 acres of giant trees and flowers, with two 5* hotels-Helnan and Salamlek). 
   • Start to see Pompey's Pillar. It was constructed in honour of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the Temple of the Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure rivalling the Soma and the Caesarean. 
   • See the Catacombs, the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock and stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria.
   • Drive along the cornish to see the whole city passing over the bridge of Stanly landmark of modern Alexandria. Then we proceed to see the Qaitibay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria.
   • Proceed to the NEW library of Alexandria (The Bibliotheca Alexandrina), the most extensive library in the world now with 8 million books. Also, see the Site of the lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
   • Drive back to your hotel in Cairo.

4. Day 4- See the Sites of Old Cairo

   • Have breakfast, and continue to explore the Citadel of Salah El-din, where you will see the full view of Cairo and see the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which is considered the largest to be built at the beginning of the 19th century by the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Egypt over 45 years. It is built in Turkish style. Stop for lunch is a local restaurant.
   • Proceed to Old Cairo to visit the Hanging Church that was built in the 3rd and beginning of the 4th century in the Basilica style. Also, see the Abu Sirga Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue, which date back to the beginning of the 15th century AD. It was built in the Basilica style above the cave in which the Holy Family took refuge. 
   • End your tour in old Cairo with a visit to Amr Ibn El-Aas mosque, the very first mosque built in Egypt. After that, transfer to important mosques and high places of worship for the Islam faith in Cairo. 5. Day 5- Departure

   • Have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Cairo International airport for your onward destination.
