Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 meters /4,593 feet)

   • Upon arrival, experience the breathtaking views of towering mountains and lush hills.
   • Meet our representative at the airport for a seamless transfer to your accommodation.
   • Check-in and relax before an evening briefing with the guide. Ensure all trekking gears and equipment are in order.

2. Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing (City Tour)

   • Explore the historic Durbar Square, with its narrow alleyways filled with small shops and temples.
   • Visit the Swayambhunath temple for a panoramic view of the valley and the northern mountain range.
   • Wander through Thamel, the tourist hub, and later explore Asan Tole, the city's largest marketplace. Learn basic Nepali words for a more immersive experience and interaction with locals.

3. Day 3: Drive to Barpak (1,915 meters /6,283 feet)

   • Enjoy a scenic drive with views of rural settlements, rocky hills, and snow-capped peaks.
   • Pass through the historic Barah Kilo market district and arrive in Barpak, a town with rich historical significance. Contribute to the local economy, especially after the devastating earthquake in 2015.

4. Day 4: Trek to Laprak (2,100 meters /6,890 feet)

   • Embark on a trek through a lush green forest, featuring rhododendron woodlands, ferns, and orchids.
   • Witness earthquake survivor settlements like Gupsi Danda and arrive at Laprak Village.
   • Explore Laprak, a Gurung community, and witness the ongoing efforts to rebuild after the 2015 earthquake.

5. Day 5: Trek to Khorla Besi (970 meters /3,182 feet)

   • Trek through picturesque landscapes, with views of snow-capped mountains.
   • Reach Khorla Besi and take it slow to rest and explore the charming village.

6. Day 6: Trek to Jagat (1,340 meters /4,396 feet)

   • Navigate a challenging trail with cliffs and rocks, overlooking the Budi Gandaki River.
   • Cross the famous Himalayan hot spring at Tatopani and reach Jagat, a small valley backed by high mountain slopes.
   • Enter the Manaslu Conservation Area Project and appreciate its diverse ecology.

7. Day 7: Trek to Dang (1,865 meters /6,102 feet) via Phillim (1,570 meters /5,151 feet)

   • Continue the trek with stunning views of Sringri Himal.
   • Climb to Phillim for a lunch break and enjoy views of nearby settlements.
   • Trek through lush green forests of rhododendrons, pines, oaks, and bamboo, arriving at Dang.

8. Day 8: Trek to Prok (2,397 meters /7,864 feet)

   • Hike from Dang to Prok, a village at an elevation of 2,397 meters.
   • Explore Prok, inhabited by the Bhotias, an indigenous mountain community with close cultural ties to Tibetan Buddhists.

9. Day 9: Trek to Lho (3,180 meters /10,433 feet)

   • Descend to Ghap and pass through dense jungles of conifer, pine, and juniper trees.
   • Visit historic towns like Barcham, Lihi, and Sho, experiencing the diverse terrain and cultural richness.
   • Arrive at the massive settlement of Lho, dominated by Ribum Gompa and a Buddhist monastery.

10. Day 10: Trek to Sama Gaon (3,520 meters /11,549 feet)

    • Hike steadily to Sama Gaon, passing through the traditional Buddhist gate of Shyala.
    • Enjoy close-up views of Manaslu and other Himalayan peaks.
    • Explore Sama Gaon, gaining insights into the high Himalayan people's lifestyle and culture.

11. Day 11: Acclimatization Day in Samagaon

    • Rest and interact with locals, immersing yourself in the village atmosphere.
    • Visit Punggen Monastery for an acclimatization hike, providing a 360-degree view of Manaslu, Hiunchuli, and Nadi Ch.
    • Optionally, embark on a challenging hike to Manaslu Base Camp for spectacular views.

12. Day 12: Trek to Samado (3,875 meters /12,713 feet)

    • Trek through Sama Gaon to Samado, following the route to Khermo Kharka.
    • Experience the wilderness of birch, rhododendron, and juniper trees, passing by the Manaslu Glacier.
    • Reach Samdo, resembling a Tibetan hamlet with its flat-roofed stone houses, yaks, chortens, and prayer flags.

13. Day 13: Trek to Dharamsala (4,460 meters /14,633 feet) via Larkya Base Camp

    • Follow the path to Larkya Base Camp or Larkya Phedi, enjoying some of the best views on the circuit.
    • Experience breathtaking landscapes as you approach the Larkya La pass.
    • Arrive at Dharamsala, a small town with residences, and prepare for the challenging Larkya La pass.

14. Day 14: Trek to Bimtang (3,590 meters /11,778 feet) via Larkya La (5,165 meters /16,929 feet)

    • Begin the day early and hike to the north side of the Larkya glacier.
    • Cross the challenging Larkya La pass at 5,165 meters, experiencing panoramic views of surrounding peaks.
    • Descend to Bimtang, a village with stunning views, and rest after a challenging trek.

15. Day 15: Trek to Tilije (2,300 meters /7,546 feet)

    • The trail winds its way down among pine trees and lush pastures. It descends to Hampuk and then drops down to Dudh Khola, passing by the Karche and Gho settlements. 
    • Following along the river's west bank, you will arrive in Tilije, a Gurung settlement, where you stay for the night.

16. Day 16: Trek to Dharapani (1,930 meters /6,440 feet) and drive to Kathmandu

    • Short trek to Dharapani, a picturesque village in the Marshyangdi Valley.
    • Board a vehicle for a scenic drive to Kathmandu via Besisahar, enjoying views of hills and farmsteads.
    • Check into your hotel and attend a special goodbye dinner to conclude your trek.

17. Day 17: Depart Kathmandu

    • Check-out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your departure.
    • Say your goodbyes to Nepal and head back home, concluding your memorable journey.
