Description

Tour the major tourist attractions in the Ayatthuya, capital of the Kingdom of Siam, and a prosperous international trading port, from 1350 until razed by the Burmese in 1767. The ruins of the old city now form the Ayutthaya Historical Park, an archaeological site that contains palaces, Buddhist temples, monasteries and statues. Visit the Wat Sri Sanphet, the Wat Phananchoeng, and the Wat Yai Chaimongkhol, followed by a boat trip to Bang-Pa-in.

- Wat Sri Sanphet is the most important and outstanding monastery used as a residential palace during King Ramathibodi I's reign.
- Wat Phananchoengor is a Buddhist temple in Ayutthaya, Thailand, on the Chao Phraya River's east bank at the south-eastern side of the Chao's confluence Phraya and Pa Sak rivers.
- Wat Mahathad, with its iconic Buddha head entwined in the roots of a tree, is among the most photographed sites in Ayutthaya. Built during the 14th century, the temple was an essential venue for Royal ceremonies but was later destroyed during the Burmese invasion in 1767.
- Wat Yai Chaimongkhol is one of the largest monasteries in Ayuttaya and was built by King Naresuan (1590 AD-1605 AD). There are many Buddha statues and a beautiful garden behind this chedi. This tour also includes a boat trip to Bang-Pa-In, the former royal summer residence, representing a fine example of Thai architecture.
