Luxor Tour
- A tour representative will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan.
- Travel to Luxor by a modern private vehicle or train from Aswan with your tour guide to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you will visit the most attractive sites of Luxor starting with the Eastern bank of the Nile to visit Karnak Temple Complex, which comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings. The building at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and continued into the Ptolemaic period. It's a vast open-air museum, and the second-largest ancient religious site in the world. It's mainly a place to worship the Theban triad (God Amon, his consort Mut, and their son Khunso). - Then, stop for lunch.
- After that, start your visit to the west bank of the Nile including (the Valley of the Kings where you will see the well-preserved tombs belonging to the kings of the new kingdom including the great ruler Ramses II and the child King Tut Ankh Amon. (If you wish, pay an additional cost directly to enter the tomb of King Tutankhamun).
- The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is called "the Holy of Holies”. It is one of the best architectural buildings. It consists of three levels connected with each other by ramps and has different scenes on its walls depicting the divine birth of the Queen and her Commercial expedition to Punt Land. The temple is mainly dedicated to worshipping the supreme god Amon-Ra.
- Then, stop for photos at the Colossi of Memnon: two towering statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, that once stood at his now long-gone funerary temple. Hear the stories and legends that surround the statues, and inspect the Roman-era graffiti engraved in the stone. Before your tour ends, perhaps take the opportunity to visit an alabaster factory and, if you wish, purchase some hand-cut pieces as souvenirs.
- Around 17:00, transfer back to your hotel in Aswan OR your hotel in Luxor or even to Luxor airport in case you would leave Luxor on that day.
