Visit Cairo Tower Tour in Egypt
- Meet the tour guide at your hotel and head on to enjoy one of Cairo's well-known modern monuments- Cairo Tower. It stands in the Zamalek district on Gezira Island in the River Nile, close to Downtown. Built in 1961, the 360-degree views across the city from the top are clearest in the late morning, after the haze burns off, or late afternoon. Looking west, the pyramids mark the limits of the city and the start of the desert. Below, the Nile River flows serenely north to the Mediterranean, seeming to slice Cairo in two. To better facilitate the view, there are also telescopes, The Cairo Tower opens every day from 9:00 in the morning until 1:00 the next morning.
