Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh

   • When you arrive at Tan Son Nhat International airport, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel in the downtown for an overnight stay.

   Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

2. Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Discovery Tour (B)

   • After breakfast, you'll enjoy a guided city tour starting with the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post office to get good shots for our memory of the big, modern city of Vietnam.
   • In the afternoon, you will continue by heading to Chinatown to visit the Thien Hau Temple, which was built in the early 19th Century and dedicated to Thien Hau, the goddess of seafarers. 
   • Return to District 1 to visit Ben Thanh market with time for shopping. 
   • Later, drive back to the hotel at around 17:00.

   Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

3. Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – Tay Ninh - Cu Chi Tunnels (B)

   • After breakfast, you will drive for 2 hours to Tay Ninh, once the historical center of the Cao-Dai religion. Founded in 1926, Cao-Dai is a combination of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. 
   • At the Holy See Temple, you will have the chance to watch the worshipers in their long white tunics during noon mass.
   • In the afternoon, you will drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels where you will visit the amazing network of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam War by the Viet Cong. This huge construction was a habitation for villagers during wartime. With 3 levels of depth, it was never discovered by the US during the Vietnam War despite its proximity to Saigon. 
   • Visit the fighting tunnel system with your local guide. If you really want some excitement, it is possible to fire a real AK 47 or M 16 for a minimum of $12 USD for 10 bullets (optional). 
   • Return to Saigon, arriving around 17.30.

4. Day 4: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta (My Tho) (B)

   • This morning, you'll head south to My Tho with a stop en route to visit Vinh Trang pagoda. 
   • Transfer to My Tho pier for the boat trip on the Tien River covering the areas of four islands of Long, Lan, Qui, and Phung. A stopover at the Con Phung (Phoenix Island) to see the manufacture of handicrafts made from coconut trees. 
   • Continue to Thoi Son Island, pay a short visit to a coconut candy factory and savour the taste of this special, and visit a local house to enjoy the taste of honey tea and fresh fruits while listening to traditional music “Tai Tu” – the lovely and romantic melody of one of the tribes in Mekong Delta. 
   • Relax on a sampan through one of the small canals of the Mekong River. 
   • Return to My Tho Pier where your private vehicle will take you back to Ho Chi Minh City for overnight accommodation.

5. Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)

   • Transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for your departure flight.
