Description

River Gambia North Bank Excursion
- Pick up from your hotel and drive to Banjul.
- Join the local ferry after crossing the river Gambia at Barra. Our day begins with a guided tour of Fort Bullen, an anti-slavery monument established by the British in 1823. It is situated at the riverbank.
- Then, continue to Fass or Ndungo Kebbeh village to experience the famous weekly market called Loumo with the chance to see farmers bartering over the exchange of cows, goats and sheep for goods.
- Next, visit a traditional village with its mud houses and thatched huts to learn about the importance of the local blacksmith. Meet the Balanta tribe and see their way of farming.
- Before ending your day, go for a family visit inside the village for an authentic experience.
