Description
Embark on this two-day rural experience excursion, starting from Banjul. Sightsee Stone Circles at Wassu Village and spot hippos, crocodiles and baboons near the River Gambia National Park. Then, stroll through Georgetown to witness majestic sights and explore its highlights, such as the Freedom Tree Monument, ruins of the old colonial structures and the underground slave house.
Itinerary

Day 1- Banjul - Barra - Farafenni - Georgetown
- Pick up from your hotel at 6:00 am and drive to Banjul, the capital city.
- Join the local ferry to Barra.
- Follow the north bank of the river Gambia making a market stop at Farafenni.
- Visit the mysterious stone circles at Wassu and learn what is known about them.
- Have lunch before cruising further down the river Gambia where you might catch sight of wild hippos, crocodiles, baboons, chimpanzees, monkeys and birds that live on the reserve.
- On our return journey, after the boat trip, we will head to another ferry crossing point to cross to Georgetown.
- Your accommodation and dinner are at Baobolong riverside camp.

Day 2- Georgetown - Departure
- After breakfast, we will go to town to take in the sights and discover what was once the Gambia's first colonial capital city is like.
- Visit the freedom tree monument, the ruins of the old colonial buildings and structures, and the underground slave station.
- On our return journey, you will have lunch at a restaurant before you arrive at the hotel at 6 pm.
