Head over to the largest city of Myanmar - Yangon (formerly Burma). A mix of British colonial architecture, modern high-rises and gilded Buddhist pagodas define its skyline. Its famed Shwedagon Paya, a huge, shimmering pagoda complex, draws thousands of pilgrims annually. The city's other notable religious sites include the Botataung and Sule pagodas, both housing Buddhist relics.

Sight-see Yangon
- Walk around the center of Yangon, where one can see mainly British style colonial buildings such as the City Hall and the Sule Pagoda, believed to have been built about 2200 years ago.
- Proceed down the Strand Road to wander around The Strand Hotel, a hundred years old and the most expensive hotel in Myanmar.
- Visit Bokyoke Aung San market (formerly known as Scott market), which was built in 1920 for a wide choice of jewelry, jade, ruby, precious stone and clothes, paintings on sale.
- Explore the Chauk Htat Gyi for the reclining Buddha statue (72 meters long, one of four longest reclining Buddhas in Myanmar).
- Go to the holiest Pagoda, the Shwedagon Pagoda which is believed to have been built about 2600 years ago. The Pagoda is 100 meters high and over 3 thousands kilograms of gold are completely gilded. The most revered and peaceful place for all Buddhists.
