Sight-see Cathedral of Saint Mary and Dalí Theatre
Begin with sightseeing Girona which is a Gothic city and is replete with best-preserved Jewish quarters. It is known for its medieval architecture, walled Old Quarter (Barri Vell), and the Roman remains of the Força Vella fortress. Landscaped gardens line the Passeig Arqueològic, a walkway following the Old Quarter’s medieval walls, including watchtowers with sweeping views.
Tour various places of attraction in Girona, including the Cathedral of Saint Mary of Girona.
Go to Figueres, the artist Salvador Dalí, also the birthplace of Narcís Monturiol, inventor of the first successful machine-powered submarine. Also born here was Mónica Naranjo, one of the best selling Spanish singers of the 1990s and 2000s.
