Mukuni Village Tour
- Meet your driver by 10 am and drive to Mukuni Village, 25 km from Livingstone Town and 10 km from Victoria Falls. The village lies along the Zambezi Gorges, and it is home for the Toka Leya speaking people. The beauty of this village is that its people have adhered to their culture and traditions as transcended from generations.
- Upon arrival, connect with the local village tour guide, who will give you a pre-tour briefing. The guide will explain the history, culture and tradition of the Leya. Stroll through every homestead, interact with the elders of the village and get to learn how traditional dishes are prepared.
- Now, visit the Chief’s palace, where you will be indulged in local governance.
- Explore sacred places which only the Leya people are privileged to see. Conclusively take a tour to the craft village where you can buy souvenirs.
- Drive back to the lodge.
