Islands of La Maddalena and Caprera Tour
- Get picked up from your hotel and head to the port of Palau, where a boat ferry will transport you to the island of La Maddalena (the trip lasts about 15 minutes). La Maddalena is the name of the principal island of an archipelago off the north-eastern tip of Sardinia. The archipelago is also known as La Maddalena and consists of over sixty islands, islets and rocks. In the past, the islands have been important strategic naval and military bases; now, they are an attractive and fairly low-key holiday destination.
- Explore the islands, most of its beaches, the oldest church, La Trinità and the center of town.
- After that, through the bridge of La Moneta, we'll go to the island of Caprera. Here, we can visit the house/museum of Giuseppe Garibaldi, the Italian hero that unified Italy in 1860.
- In Caprera, we'll also visit some of its beautiful beaches and military fortresses.
