Itinerary

1. Day 1: Kibale National Park

   • Transfer to the primate’s capital of the world (Kibale National Park) for your chimpanzee tracking experience. 
   • Pass through Kampala and proceed, passing beautiful hills and landscapes along the road as well as the local people. 
   • Make a stop for lunch at Fort portal town before proceeding for check-in at Kibale Forest Camp. 
   • Have an evening crater lake walk and discover the three beautiful crater lakes with beautiful scenery. Your walking guide will tell you interesting stories about the communities around the area.

   Have dinner and overnight stay at Primate Lodge later in the evening.

2. Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking

   • After early morning breakfast, meet your guide who will be ready to transfer you to the tourist briefing area at Kanyanchu.
   •  Here you will be briefed on the chimpanzee tracking process, and later on, head into the forest in search of the chimps. Along the way, you are more likely to meet other different animal and bird species.
   • In the afternoon, you will continue to Tinka’s homestead, where you will be served an African lunch cuisine.
   • Proceed for an evening swamp walk at the Wetlands in Bigodi sanctuary. Here you are most likely to encounter different bird species that may include the rare papyrus Gonolek. 
   • Return for dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge – Full Board.

3. Day 3: Kampala - Departure

   • Go out for a fascinating walk in the crater lakes passing through plantations of tea with spectacular view of the land scape. 
   • Later, return to the lodge and prepare for a transfer back to Kampala after your breakfast. 
   • As soon as you arrive in Kampala, your guide will drive back to Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight.
