Itinerary

1. Day 1: Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa

   • At 4:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel to start our trip to Mollepata, where we will have breakfast.
   • Then we continue by the same transport to Challacancha. Here we can have lunch and have 3 hours to explore the Humantay lagoon.
   • On the way back to the camp, we will have dinner and rest for the second day.

2. Day 2: Soraypampa- Challhuay

   • After having breakfast at 5:00 am, we start the walk towards the Salkantay pass for 4 hours approx. 
   • Later, we descend for 2 hours to Arayanniyoq, where lunch awaits us. After lunch rest for a few minutes. 
   • Then, continue to the camp for 3 hours to the town of Challhuay.

3. Day 3: Santa Teresa Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes

   • The next day starts at 6:00 am after breakfast. We continue our journey to Santa Teresa and will have lunch there. 
   • Then, continue to hydroelectric. 
   • In the afternoon, we continue our 3-hour walk along the side of the railway to the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu).
   • Upon reaching the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu), we will move to our hostel where we will spend the third night there. 
   • In the evening we are having dinner in a tourist restaurant. Here, our guide will give you directions for the next day’s tour to Machu Picchu.

4. Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

   • At dawn at 4:30 am, you will have breakfast at your respective lodges, then you will begin the hike of approximately 2 hours until you reach the control point at 6:00 am 
   • Here we will begin the tour for 2 hours with the guide inside the historic center of Machu Picchu. 
   • Then we continue with our 1-hour hike to Machu Picchu mountain (entrance time from 8:00 am to 9:00 am). 
   • Afterwards (1:00 pm or 2:00 pm), we will descend to the village of Machu Picchu to take the train back (Inca Rail) to Ollantaytambo.
   • Take the bus to the city of Cusco.
