Morning market - Motomachi - Mt. Hakodate
- Meet your guide at the lobby of your hotel and depart to the Morning market probably on foot. Look around the market where there are 250 small shops and a squid fishing pool (50 min.)
- Move to the Motomachi area by bus or tram and visit the following:
- Picturesque slopes such as Cha-Cha Slope and Hachiman Slope.
- Old public hall, a wooden Western-style building that gives some hint of how Hakodate was before.
- View from the top of Mt. Hakodate is a volcanic mountain that was once separate from the mainland.
- Buddhist Temple was built to be fire-resistant over 100 years ago.
- The Catholic church is the oldest in Hokkaido.
- The Orthodox Church of Japan is an autonomous Eastern Orthodox church within the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate. (under repair until March 2023)
- Stroll the area while taking photos and seeing the inside of the building. (1 hr)
- Go up to the top of Mt. Hakodate by aerial tram or bus. (30 min - 1 hr stay)
- Go down the mountain and end the tour.
