Itinerary
-
Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
- After having breakfast in your hotel, you will depart to Tarangire National Park, the drive will only take 2 hours, and you will get to see the beautiful Maasai steppe on the way.
- After arrival, the day will be spent game driving, and a picnic lunch will be offered in the afternoon. Game driving will continue till evening where you will head over to your camp/lodge. The Tarangire National Park is widely known for its dense wildlife population, spotted more during the dry season (June –October). During this period, you will be indulged with thousands of animals –zebras, hartebeest, buffalo, and wildebeest that migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River in search of water. The park is also home to more than 550 bird species.
- Later in the afternoon, you will drive out of the park, and your guide will take you to Manyara/ Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight.
-
Day 2: Lake Manyara - Arusha/Moshi
- You will have an early breakfast in your camp/lodge and immediately start your journey to Lake Manyara national park. The park was once praised by a documentary maker Colin Willock as “the most luxuriant place in the whole East African rift”, although it is always overlooked compared to its neighbouring large parks, Lake Manyara offers a wilderness experience in diverse habitats, from its rift valley soda lake to its dense woodlands and steep mountainsides.
- See the famous tree-climbing lions and more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants. The groundwater forest in the park is the best for observing primate interaction: hundred-strong baboon troops lounge calmly along the roadside, while the bashful blue monkey prefers to hide in the foliage.
- Picnic lunch will be offered and in the late hours.
- Depart to Moshi/Arusha.
