- Wake up early and meet with the tour guide at your hotel in Cairo.
- Travel to Alexandria, located 220 km Northwest on the Mediterranean coast.
- Visit the Catacombs of Kom El-Shoukafa and the Royal Cemetery of Kom El-Shoqafa, a historical archaeological site considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages.
- Check out Pompey's Pillar, a Roman triumphal column, one of the best-known ancient monuments still standing in Alexandria today. It is the last of the remaining relics of the Seraphim. The Pillar was erected in honour of Emperor Diocletian.
- Have lunch at a local restaurant on the way.
- Continue to visit the Citadel of Qaitbey, built on the ruins of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qaitbay.
- Head to the famous Alexandria Library, reconstructed by building the new library in Selsela at Shatby, beside the conference center. The library is one of the greatest cultural and scientific centres specialising in the affairs of literature, civilization, sciences, and arts of the area, so this attracts scholars worldwide.
- Drive back to your hotel in Cairo.
