Itinerary

1. Day 1 - Dar es Salaam - Kigoma - Gombe

   • Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma. 
   • On arrival, pick up and transfer to Ujiji village, visit Dr Livingstone Memorial. 
   • Then, you will be transferred to Kibirizi port for your boat to Gombe. Pick up on arrival and get transfer to the resthouse. 
   • After lunch, at 1:00 pm, start an evening Chimpanzee trekking in the forest. Gombe Stream’s main attraction is definitely the chimpanzee families that live protected in the park’s boundaries. Visitors take walks deep into the forest to observe and sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. Val vet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, dik-dik, and various tropical birds inhabit the dense forest. 

   Dinner and overnight are at Kasekela mid-range tented camp. 

2. Day 2 - Gombe Chimpanzee Trekking

   • Have breakfast at 8:00 am, and at 8:30 pm, go for chimpanzee tracking in the forest. 
   • Visit Kakombe Waterfalls which are among the best attractions in the park. If time allows, you can climb Jane's Peak to enjoy the view of the park. 

3. Day 3 - Chimpanzee Trekking - Kigoma

   • After breakfast, start chimpanzee trekking in different valleys. Walk in the forests and visit the Mkenge water wall. At 12:00 pm, you will be back for lunch. 
   • Pack your stuff and transfer back to Kigoma town in the evening. 

   Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Tanganyika beach hotel.

4. Day 4 - Kigoma - Dar es Salaam

   • Have breakfast early at 6:00 am. Then, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight back to Dar-Es-Salaam.
