Description

Visit the North Zone of São Paulo; an area considered one of the cradles of the local Street Art. See the MAAU (Open Air Museum of Urban Art), a row of columns painted by famous street artists. Stop at downtown São Paulo, where we can look at a lot of huge amazing murals painted over the old billboards. Also, explore Vila Madalena, the famous Batman's Alley and see the surrounding studios and art galleries.

Start from MAAU
Meet the tour guide in the city and visit the Open Air Museum of Urban Art, a mandatory stop if you are talking about Street Art in São Paulo. The location is the northern zone of the city, one of the cradles of the movement. The columns of the subway line were transformed by the artists and inspired the local government to renovate this abandoned area.

Explore the central area of the city and traditional neighbourhoods as Arouche, Luz, Cambuci and Santa Cecília to find big murals that replace the old advertising billboards at the side of buildings. At the same time, learn about a controversial Street Art, the tagging, called by the locals as "Pixo."
