Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi
- Arrive at the airport in Delhi and meet our staff representative and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight.

Day 2: Delhi - Bhubaneswar (Flight)
- Transfer to the airport and board flight to Bhubaneswar.
- On arrival, get assistance and transfer to the hotel.
- Later, tour the capital city of Odisha, once the capital of the Kalinga empire. Visit some of the medieval temples (among the 500 temples around the sacred Bindu Sagar lake). Pass through the Lingaraja Temple (can only be visited externally), 54 meters high, dedicated to Tribhuvaneswar (the Lord of the three worlds) and surrounded by more than 50 temples and minor shrines.
- Visit the Mukteswar Temple, which dates back from the 10th century, with refined and elaborate decorations that denote a mixture of Buddhist, Jain and Hindu styles.
- Explore the Parsurameswar temple, dedicated to Shiva, built in the seventh century.

Day 3: In Bhubaneswar
- Breakfast in the hotel and visit the city of Bhubaneswar.
- Explore the Rajarani Temple, striking for the elegance of its sculptures with a series of nymphs of amazing sensuality.
- Head to the Hindu and Jain caves of Khandagiri and Udaigiri, located about 5 Km from Bhubaneswar.
- Visit the Tribal museum, which showcases the culture and traditions of the tribes of Orissa.

Day 4: Bhubaneswar – Konark – Puri (110 Km, 3 hrs approx.)
- Drive to Puri, one of the four important pilgrimage centres for Hindus, also known for the Rath Yatra Festival.
- Along the way, stop Konark to visit the famous Sun Temple, a wonder of Hindu religious art.
- Arrive at Puri and go for a walking tour around the famous Shri Jagannath temple (lord of the world) built in the 12th century and boasts a 65-meter high tower. Only Hindus can visit the temple from Inside.

Day 5: Puri – Mangalajodi – Gopalpur (180 km, 4 hrs approx.)
- After breakfast, drive to Gopalpur. Enroute, stop at the fisherman’s village at Mangalajodi, located on Chilka lake, known for birds watchers. We are in one of India's most fascinating landscape scenery, including land, sea, lagoons, canals and lakes, where peasant-fishermen live on plots of land and water.
- Continue southwest through rural landscapes and traditional Hindu villages along the Chilika lake, an extensive lagoon coast of India separated from the Bay of Bengal from a 60 km long strip of sand.
- Arrive in Gopalpur, where you can enjoy the sunset on the beach.

Day 6: Gopalpur – Baliguda (250 Km, 6 hrs approx.)
- After breakfast, departure for Baliguda. The tribal area of Orissa starts here. Here you may see the Malliah Kondh tribes.
- In the afternoon excursion to the Malliah Kondh villages, tribes famous for the tattooed faced women, the drawings represent the snout of the tiger.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 7: Baliguda – Bisamkatak – Rayagada (160 km, 4 hrs approx.)
- After breakfast, visit the other nearby villages of the Malliah Kondh.
- Continue to Bisamkatak to visit the villages inhabited by the Desia Kondh tribes. They used to make human sacrifices a few years ago but now replaced the ritual with animal sacrifices on special occasions only.
- Continue to Rayagada for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Rayagada – Semiliguda (the weekly market of Chatti Kona) (110 km, 3 hrs approx.)
- Breakfast and drive to Chatti Kona. The route is full of landscapes and natural views. Reach in the market of Chatti Kona (held on Wednesday only). Witness the ladies and gents from the Dongariya Kondh tribe.
- In the afternoon, continue to Semiliguda, the center commercial district of Koraput. Arrival in Semiliguda.

Day 9: Semiliguda – Excursion to Onukudelli Weekly Market – Semiliguda (70 km, 2 hrs approx.)
- Spend this day dedicated to an excursion and visit to the weekly tribal market of Onukudelli. See and admire the Bonda and Gadhaba women with their traditional costumes. They belong to the Tibetan-Burmese origin; the Bondas (also known as "Pygmies of Orissa") are a tribe among the most primitive and warlike, keeping their own intact customs and traditions. Gadaba is among the oldest tribes of Odisha.
Dinner and overnight in Semiliguda.

Day 10: Semiliguda – Kundali Market – Vishakhapatnam (220 Km, 5 hrs approx.)
- Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Vishakapatnam. Enroute, stop at the Kundali tribal market, the meeting point of all ethnic groups and the main tribal market of Orissa.
- Arrive at Vishakapatnam and transfer to the airport. Board the flight to Delhi.
- Arrive at Delhi and transfer to International Airport.
