Mount Sinai & St. Catherine
- Meet the tour guide early in the morning in your hotel and get transferred to St.Catherine monastery. It will be a three hours drive through the desert.
- Explore the monastery of St.Catherine, the oldest Christian monastery of the world, still in existence and houses the richest collection of icons and precious manuscripts. It dates back to the 6th century.
- Drive to St.Catherine city to have lunch there in a local restaurant, in front of the mountains.
- After lunch, climb Mount Sinai with the Bedouin escort; it is 2285 meters above sea level. It will take almost 2.5 hours to get to the peak of Mount Sinai. The way to the top of Mount Sinai is 7 km long, including 750 steps.
- Drive back to Sharm at the end of the trip.
