Lisbon Tour
- Meet your guide at the main entrance door to the Lisbon Zoo. Start your tour from Sete Rios 1500-423 in Lisbon, Portugal.
- Pass by Avenida da Liberdade and the beautiful Rossio Square.
- Explore Alfama, the oldest and most traditional neighbourhood in Lisbon, with cobbled lanes and alleys and steep, gruelling inclines. It should be discovered little by little, frequently stopping to savour the view, atmosphere and authentic spirit of the oldest site of the capital. Take a deep breath and start to climb the hill that will reveal one of the city's best views.
- Go to Castelo de São Jorge, a Moorish castle occupying a commanding hilltop overlooking the historic centre of the Portuguese city of Lisbon and Tagus River. Also, make your way to Miradouro de Santa Luzia, Lisbon's most beautiful belvederes and one of the most beautiful landscapes of Lisbon.
- Visit the oldest church in the city, Sé de Lisboa.
- Have lunch in the Time Out Market, also called Mercado da Ribeira, the oldest market in Lisbon.
- Go to the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The construction of the monastery and church began on 6 January 1501 and was completed 100 years later.
- Explore the Museu de Marinha Navy Museum, which is dedicated to all aspects of navigation history in Portugal.
- Make your way to another monastery, Pastéis de Nata in Lisbon.
- Go to Torre de Belém, a fortified tower located in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Belém. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the significant role in the Portuguese maritime discoveries of the era of the Age of Discoveries.
- Visit Padrao dos Descobrimentos, the monument on the northern bank of the Tagus River estuary. This monument celebrates the Portuguese Age of Discovery (or Age of Exploration) during the 15th and 16th centuries.
- Finish the Tour where you started, the Lisbon Zoo.
