Ride a bike from Struga to Radozda and ride along with the beautiful view of the unique Ohrid lake.
Thе first stop is village Kalista to visit the church from the 14th century, Nativity of Mother of God, an Orthodox church in Skopje, North Macedonia. According to the legends, there was a medieval church. During the early 19th century, the locals in Skopje decided to build there a new church.
Then, we visit the cave church St. Athanasius, built in the 14th century in honour of the Alexandria archbishop Anastasij. It can only be reached by the same old rock stairs that are as old as the church. It is tiny inside, but it is full of 14th-century frescoes, although painted in the 19th century. Moreover, this church is home to the most extensive collection of paintings from the Middle Ages around Struga.
Take a break and go to visit the most extensive cave church St. Archangel Mihail, a natural cave is overlooking the village named Radozhda near Struga. It is considered to be one of the oldest cave churches near Lake Ohrid. The frescoes date from the 13th century, and the church have been built in honour of St. Michael the Archangel. An interesting fact about the church: it has been a hiding place for the locals in World War II.
