Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco to Chilca by bus and then Huayllabamba by walk
Get a pick-up from your accommodation in Cusco early morning and begin your journey to 82 kilometres, where the Inca Trail begins.
Stop in Ollantaytambo for breakfast (not included) before continuing to Chilca at km 82.
Meet with the porters and cooks that will accompany you on the trail and begin the trek.
Stop on the way for lunch and continue to the campsite at Huayllabamba.
Enjoy a hot meal and spend the night at the campsite.

Day 2: Warmi Wanusca hike and descend to Pacaymayo
Have your breakfast and start hiking, ascending to the highest point on the trail, over 4,200 meters above sea level. This place is called the Dead Woman’s Pass (Warmiwanusca).
- Climb approximately 7 kilometres to Warmi Wanusca.
- Take beautiful pictures and relish around the scenic landscapes.
Enjoy delicious lunch and descend to Pacaymayo, where you will camp overnight.

Day 3: Pacaymayo to Runkurakay to Winay Wayna hike
Head off towards Runkurakay after breakfast.
Visit the archaeological site of Runkurakay, a former resting lodge for ancient pilgrims.
Cross the 2nd pass at 3,800m above sea level and descend to Sayacmarca, another important archaeological site where you will have lunch.
Enter the high Andean cloud forest and enjoy nature.
Descend to the campsite at Winay Wayna, passing an important archaeological site and a temple where offerings are made to the sacred mountain spirits.
Reach your campsite and spend the final night on the trail.

Day 4: Winay Wayna to Machu Picchu hike and return to Cusco
Walk to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), which is the ancient entrance to the city of Machu Picchu.
See the ruins in all their glory and have a guided tour in the citadel.
Descend to the village of Aguas Calientes by bus. From there, you will return to Ollantaytambo by train and then driven by bus back to your hotel in Cusco.
Train Departure: Between 8.00 pm and 9.00 pm.
