Itinerary

1. Day 1: Drive to Naro Moru Track

   The first day is basically a warm-up day, in preparation for the climb ahead! The morning of this tour will be spent organizing the trip and ensuring that all the equipment and personal items are ready for the trek. Lunch will be at the lodge (charged extra). 

   • Drive to the end of the Naro Moru track, to the Met Station where you spend the night in the mountain log cabins, after lunch, a good day for acclimatization for. You will be sleeping at an altitude of 3,050m. 
   • Take a short hike in the afternoon to get your body acclimatized to the high altitude.

2. Day 2: Hike to Teleki Valley

   • Hike up into the Teleki valley, early in the morning, where there is a spectacular view of the main peaks. You will walk for around 4-6 hours. 

   Camp overnight in tents at Mackinders Camp (4,100 m).

3. Day 3: Visit Hausberg Valley

   • Leave early after breakfast and begin to circumnavigate the main peaks by heading north.

   • Travel below the south and west faces on your approach to Two Tarn Hut, then walk across the Western terminal and into Hausberg Valley.

   • Wwalk over Hausberg Col into Mackinders Valley. In total, the walk will take around 5 hours with the highest point being 4,500m.

   • Spend the night will at the Mackinder Valley camp (4,300m) in high altitude tents.

4. Day 4: Ascend to Point Lenana

   • Ascend to Point Lenana up the north face which is little used by tourists.

   • Walk for about four hours before reaching the summit. (4985m).

   • Descend into Teleki Valley and then spend the night at your original camp, after photos and a quick celebration.

5. Day 5: Departure

   • Descend the Mountain to the Met Station and then finally return to the Naro Moru River Lodge.
