Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Arusha Kilimanjaro Airport
Upon arrival, meet the representative at JRO and then be transferred to your lodge in Arusha.
Dinner and overnight in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha to Machame Camp
- Early in the morning, transfer to the Machame Park Gate.
- After registering with the park authority, begin your climb through the lush forest.
- Continue to some beautiful heathland before reaching your overnight camp at Machame Camp

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
- Today's part of the ascent will continue across the heathland and alpine moorland with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro Peak.
Overnight at Shira Camp.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
- Draw nearer the peak as you pass the Lava Tower with your Mount Kilimajaro hiking guide.
- The trek becomes a bit more strenuous as the trail steepens on the approach to your overnight stop at Barranco Camp.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley Camp
- The day will begin with a descent into the Gorge before climbing its eastern wall and enjoy the views of Kilimanjaro ice fields, an equatorial anomaly.
- Continue trekking until you reach our camp in Karanga Valley.

Day 6: Karanga Valley Camp to Barafu Camp
- Trek up through the Karanga Valley, following the lava ridge to the Barafu camp where you will stay overnight.

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp
- Just after midnight, begin your summit attempt, passing between the Rebmann and Tarzel glaciers to the rim at Stella Point.
- As dawn nears, summit at Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 19,340 feet. Uhuru will be the culmination of - and the reward for 6-7 hours of strenuous hiking.
- Then descend back to Barafu Camp, resting for a while before continuing your descent to Mweka Camp.

Day 8: Departure
- Travel from Mweka Camp to Park Gate.
- Transfer to Arusha.
