Description
Spili Village is a traditional village with cooling fountains. In the center of the village square, with the two giant plane trees, is Kefalovrisi. This is a series of 25 fountains in the shape of a lion's head wherefrom the mouths of which 330 cubic meters of water flow every hour, rich in iron and has a constant temperature of 13 ° C. Day Trip from Rethymnon
- Meet your guide. Depart from Rethymnon and head to Potamon dam to spot different birds and admire the stunning scenery.
- Drive to Spili village, famous for its tall plane trees and discover several taverns, Cretan cuisines, coffee shops, and folk art shops.
- Visit Kourtaliotis gorge, one of the most spectacular natural attractions of Rethymnon. The canyon's massive cliffs reach 600 meters and are full of openings and caves where varied animals live.
- Head to Kalypso beach, surrounded by high rocks and used as shelter by pirates about 300 years ago.
