Explore Quebrada de Humahuaca
- Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location and begin the day establishing a course towards the city of San Salvador de Jujuy. Through Yala begins the ascent and visit of the famous ravine. Gradually, the vegetation will disappear to give way to the Brittany landscape defined by peculiar stratifications that recreate the view by its colours and shapes. The Andean world also appears in its wide culture.
- Stop in the town of Purmamarca for 30 mins approximately, which contemplates a walk through the town and its attractions. Among the interesting points are the Hill of Seven Colors and the old Chapel of Santa Rosa de Lima of 1648 and its centennial carob tree next to a colourful handicraft market.
- Continue towards Tilcara, where visitors are taken to their famous Pucara. This ancient indigenous fortress is framed in a beautiful frame of polychrome mountains and in its central part, it has a wonderful forest of cardones.
- Head to the city of Humahuaca, transposing the Tropic of Capricorn and many other geological formations that make the landscape a unique place. Travel to Humahuaca and saunter on its beautiful streets of colonial characteristics. In them, the central squares stand out and in them are the Independence Monument, cathedral and municipal building, among other things. Here, a lunch break is held (not included).
- Enjoy interesting activities such as a visit to the small chapel of Uquía, which shows a strong colonial heritage expressed in the ancient architecture of the 16th and 17th centuries. Valuable pieces of mystical colonial art are exhibited, along with art pieces from the old school of painting in Cuzco. See Baroque, golden colonial altars or religious sculptures carved in wood, from the 17th century.
