Jozani Forest And Spice Farms Tour
- Meet your guide in Zanzibar, take a car ride to the Jozani Forest, also known as Jozani Chwaka Bay, and walk through the ancient hardwood forest and mangrove swamps.
- Explore the forest with many habitats, including the swamp, evergreen thickets, and mangroves. See the variety of wildlife, including Sykes, bush pigs, Ader’s Duiker, Suni Antelopes, elephant shrews, chameleons and the rare red Colobus monkeys, unique to Zanzibar with less than 2000 remaining in the world.
- Go on a boardwalk around the mangrove swamp at the end of the tour and visit the giant turtle sanctuary.
- Drive to a Spice Farm, take a walking tour to smell and taste various spices, and learn about their growth.
- Have a delicious lunch consisting of Pilau rice, flavoured with many of the spices that you just found out about on tour.
