Description

Founded in 1503 by the navigator Américo Vespúcio, located in the Lakes Region, Arraial do Cabo is approximately two and half hours drive from Rio (170 km / 105 miles). Famous for being the largest dive center in Rio de Janeiro and one of the most important in Brazil.

Its crystal clear waters offer amazing visibility and a rich marine biodiversity, allowing you to see squids, turtles, groupers, lobsters, seahorses, rays or even dolphins. Ideal for beginners and advanced divers.

Jacques Yves Cousteau, one of the pioneers in diving, was amazed with the calm and transparent waters, perfect for diving. After a few minutes from harbour by boat, we found great diving spots.

The average water temperature is (20°C / 68ºF). Depth of dives from (6 to 35 m / 19 to 115 ft), depending on area and diver's experience.

Full Scuba gear included: (mask, regulator, 5 mm wetsuit, fins);

Two cylinders for certified divers (Diving certification required);

One cylinder for the “baptism” (a guided dive for those without certification or experience).

Know Before You Go

Round trip transfer included (South Zone): Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Botafogo, Flamengo and others. Contact us if you are in other places in Rio or if you want some tour without transfer.

Pick-up time: (approx.) 06 am;

Diving duration: certified divers – (approx.) 2 x 50 minutes / baptism – (approx.) 40 minutes;

Availability: tuesday to sunday.

Not suitable for people prone to seasickness.

What To Bring

Recommendations: before the tour, try to eat fruits and light food, avoid alcohol and junk food, wear light clothes, swimming suits and sandals, bring water, dry clothes for changing, towel, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, cap or hat, sunglasses, personal medications, diving certification, passport or ID card, cash for extras.
