Itinerary

1. Day 1: Drive to the Baduy Village from Jakarta via Rangkasbitung

   • Meet the guide at your hotel in Jakarta, then start driving through the Jakarta-Merak highway towards to Baduy village via Rangkasbitung. Pass the Indonesian countryside and travel further uphill to remote areas around the highlands of Kendung, where Baduy has been living in self-imposed isolation for centuries. Industrial products, media, furniture as well as all utensils of daily use are banned from the life of the Baduy.

   • Upon arrival in Ciboleger - the village border between Baduy and outside, follow the path to the village on foot while enjoying the natural landscape around you. The guide will take you to the place where you can rest and spend the night.

   • Experience this other world far away from our civilisation today in an authentic manner. Mingle with the locals.

   • Enjoy a delicious meals prepared by the local guide in the Baduy house.

   Stay at the village overnight.

2. Day 2: Enjoy a delicious lunch at Baduy Village and hike to nearby villages

   • Start the day with a simple breakfast in the Baduy house.

   • Explore the nearby Baduy villages with your local guide. Between green hills and traditional fields, hike from one village to the other and meet the locals to gain insight into their culture, tradition and everyday life.

   • Have lunch at the Baduy House.

   • Return to the Ciboleger village where the driver will be waiting for you.

   • Continue the journey past Rangkasbitung back to Jakarta.

   Drop off at your hotel in Jakarta, thus, concluding your trip.
