Description
See the only remaining natural forest on Unguja Island, the Jozani forest, where long ago you could find leopards and antelopes. At present, it is the habitat of the Red Colobus Monkeys and the Blue Sykes Monkey. The Red Colobus Monkey is one of the most endangered and rarest species on the planet.

Jozani Forest Tour
- Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location and begin the tour from Zanzibar.
- Head to Jozani Natural Forest; the smaller trees and shrubs make several sub-canopies under the highest canopy.
- Walk through the natural trail of the forest, which is a habitat for many species of animals and bird including the Red Colobus Monkeys. Jozani Forest lies 35 km southeast of Zanzibar town with an area of about 1,000 hectares. The Red Colobus Monkey is one of the most endangered and rarest species on the planet. The Red Colobus Monkeys that are found in this Forest are very friendly and love to be photographed.
- Head back to Zanzibar.
