Itinerary

1. Day 1: Livingstone

   • Start the tour after a meet and greet with the Livingstone tour guide at 18:00 hrs. Please note that no meals are included. However, you may choose to go out for dinner as a group.

   Accomodation: Fawlty tower or similar.

2. Day 2: Falls tour

   • Start the day by visiting Victoria Falls in both Zambia and Zimbabwe. This can be a full-day activity as you might cross the borders from Zambia to Zimbabwe and back. Please ensure you purchase the KAZA visa from the airport on the day of arrival, as it allows you to visit two countries at no extra charge and saves time at the border. Please bring a rainsuit for the falls tour.

   Meals included: Breakfast.

   Included Activity: Tour of the falls.

   Entrance fee to the falls not included.

3. Day 3: Kasane

   • Cross the Zambezi River on a ferry to Kasane. This is where the borders of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana meet. Kasane is also home to Chobe National Park

   • Embark on a sunset boat cruise in the Chobe River, where you may spot game such as buffalos, elephants, hippos and crocodiles outside the water.

   Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner. 

   Included Activity: Chobe boat cruise.

   Accomodation: Kwalape Safari Lodge or similar. 

4. Day 4: Chobe National Park

   • Start the day early in the morning on an open safari vehicle, trying to catch the big cats while still active. The park is also known for its large population of elephants 

   • In the afternoon, walk around the town, take another boat cruise or head for a game drive. Otherwise, sit by the side of a pool.

   Meals included: Breakfast and dinner. 

   Included activity: Morning game drive.

5. Day 5: Nata

   • Drive 300km from Chobe to Nata, where you will visit the Makgadikgadi Salt Pan, the biggest salt pan in Botswana.

   • Get to see a variety of birdlife in the salt pan, such as flamingos and pelicans.

   Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner. 

   Included Activity: Salt pan visit. 

   Accomodation: Nata Lodge or similar.

6. Day 6: Meerkat

   • Leave the Makgadikgadi Salt Pan and check into a village called Gweta. You will stay at Rondavels, which has round African huts with open-air showers. 

   • In the afternoon, you will have the option of leaving the lodge to track the meerkats. Please note that Meerkats are wild, and only a few still exist in Africa.

   • Learn about the Baobab trees during the journey.

   • The host might entertain you at night with African music and dances.

   A swimming pool and wifi are available. 

   Meals included: Breakfast and dinner. 

   Meerkat tracking is optional, as the lodge provides it.

   Accomodation: Gweta Lodge.

7. Day 7: Maun

   • Drive to Maun through the park and stop to spot the animals nearby.

   • Arrive at Maun and get a chance to go on a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta, which is approximately USD 350 for 45 minutes. This varies by 3/5/7 seater aircraft.

   Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner. 

   Optional activity: Scenic flight over the delta.

   Accomodation: Sedia Hotel, Thamalakane or similar. 

8. Day 8: Full day Okavango delta experience

   • Transfer to the Polling Station to meet the Poller people. These are the people who navigate the delta without the use of GPS. Some of them are born in the delta. They will take you deep into the delta on the Mokoro ‘dug-in’ canoes. 

   • Go for a bushwalk with them and learn more about their culture.

   Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner (Please order packed lunch from the hotel as there are no shops in the delta).

   Accomodation: Sedia hotel.

9. Day 9: Moremi/Savuti Safari

   • Head for a 3-day, 2-night mobile safari in the Moremi, Savuti and Khwai concessions. If possible, bring safari clothing for only three days. Moremi lies on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta and was named after Chief Moremi of the Batawana tribe.

   • Meet another local guide/camp assistant who will pick you up in the morning in an open safari vehicle to be used for the safari in the park.

   Meals included Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

   Included activity: game drives. 

10. Day 10: Moremi/Savuti Safari

    • This concession covers an area of more than 11,700 km*, almost a third of the delta. This makes it impossible for us to do the whole Park in two nights. However, depending on the sightings, you may have to move from the Moremi section on the East to the Savuti area on the western side along the Khwai River, meaning two different campsites in the Park.

    Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

11. Day 11: Moremi/Savuti concession

    • Birds, life, and animals make the concession a prime game-viewing area. You will have a chance to cover the tracks for animals you didn’t see in the past two days before returning to Maun. 

    • Get a proper shower after arriving back at the lodge. You can have a free afternoon or opt to do the scenic flight again

    • In the evening, your guide will take you out for the last dinner as a group.

    Wifi and swimming pool are available. 

    Meals included: Breakfast. 

12. Day 12: Maun

    • End the trip after having breakfast.
