Description
Dive into the history of Egypt as you visit the ancient Step Pyramid in Saqqara and the Giza Pyramid Complex. Explore Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt and admire the different ancient artefacts at the Egyptian Museum. Day 1: Arrival and Tour Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis, Saqqara Pyramids
Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, your Egyptologist guide will meet you at the airport.
Then from the airport, start your full-day visiting Saqqara, 27 km southwest away from Cairo, where you can explore the first and oldest complete stone building complex known in the history of humankind which Djoser built during the third dynasty 2700 BCE.
Then visit Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where there is a colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx of Queen Hatshepsut. This city dates back to 3100 BCE.
Then from there, we will go for lunch to a local restaurant with a view of the Giza pyramids.
After lunch, go ahead to the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, the most famous monuments of the ancient world! These massive stone structures were built around 4,500 years ago on a rocky desert plateau close to the Nile and always amazed visitors.
You will be transferred back to your hotel at the end of the tour.

Day 2: Tour to Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Bazaar & Departure
After breakfast at your stay, your guide will pick you up.
Head to the Egyptian Museum, which displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen's collection of treasure, gold, and jewellery which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years.
After the museum, take a break for lunch at a local restaurant.
Move ahead to visit the outstanding Citadel of Saladin, a fortress built between 1176 and 1183 CE to protect Cairo from the Crusaders. You will see the mosque of Mohamed Ali, the founder of modern Egypt. His mosque is a Turkish style mosque called the Alabaster mosque.
End your tour with a shopping stop at Khan el Khalili Bazaar. You cannot complete your visit to Cairo without stopping at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East.
Finally, transfer you back to Cairo International Airport.
