Itinerary

Day 1: Visit the magnificent Angkor Wat
- Pick-up from the hotel or airport
- Visit the Angkor Wat Temple Complex.
- Go to Angkor Thom for the South gate, Bayon Temple, Baphoun Temple, King's Palace, Elephant Terrace and Terrace of the Leper King.
Day 2: Tour the Floating Village
- Visit the Ta Prohm Temple, Banteay Kdei Temple, a Floating village, and the Tonle Sap lake.
Day 3: Banteay Srei, Beng Mealea, and Rolouse Group of temples
- Visit the Banteay Srei Temple, Beng Mealea Temple, and the Roluos Group of Temples.
- Return to the hotel, or to the airport

Know Before You Go

The word 'Angkor' is derived from the Sanskrit nagara (???), meaning 'city'.

The entire expanse of Angkor, including the magnificent Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, is collectively protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Angkor is considered to be a 'hydraulic city' where a water management network was used for irrigation to offset unpredictable monsoon and support the increasing population. The ruins say a lot about how this area flourished under the Khmer Empire from the 9th to 15th Century.
