Itinerary

1. Day 1: Baku

   • Arrive in Baku.

   • Transfer to the hotel.

   • Check into the hotel and spend your free time.

2. Day 2: Baku

   • Have breakfast in the hotel.

   • Start with the Baku highlights with your Azerbaijan tour guide. 

   • After the old city tour, have a lunch break.

   • Then, continue your tour.

   • At the end of the tour, enjoy a pre-dinner drinking session in a local wine bar.

   • Transfer to the hotel.

3. Day 3: Ganja

   • Have breakfast in the hotel. 

   • Transfer to Ganja and check into the hotel. 

   • Take a small city tour. 

   • Afterwards, depart to Goygol. Back in 1860, when the town of Goygol was a small village of German settlers known as Helenendorf, a certain Christopher Vohrer started a joint-stock company to expand his vineyards into a fully-fledged wine industry. During the Soviet era, the wineries were nationalized, and in the 1940s, the region’s German population was deported. But today, the Goygol winery still traces its origins to the Vohrer original. The company processes 13 grapes harvested from over 500 hectares of vineyards. It is celebrated for its prize-winning brandies and a wide selection at varying quality levels marketed as Xan, Goygol, Yelenendorf and Karabakh. Visitors can arrange various degustations at the winery’s impressive cellar but go easy if you choose to do a full tasting of 15 types of wine and brandy.

   • Then, drive to a series of beautiful mountain vistas that open out beyond Hajikand, encompassing the rocky beak-like peak of Mt Kyapaz. Further, you’ll reach the gorgeous mountain lake of Goygol, for which the town is named.

   • Return to the hotel.

4. Day 4: Ismailli

   • Have breakfast in the hotel, and then check out.

   • Transfer to Ismailli. Arrive at the “Chateau Monolit Winery And Guesthouse”. Tour through the winery and visit wine cellars, watching the wine production, fermentation and storage in the most extensive cellars of Azerbaijan. Local winemaking history goes back more than 5000 years.

   • After Chabiant Wine degustation with canapes, light snacks or dinner at Chateau Monolit, get an introduction to national cuisine selections, enhanced with authentic herbs and spices.

5. Day 5: Return

   • Have breakfast in the hotel and later, transfer to the airport.
